Business Plan

Our business is called CBL Sweets. Our business will be selling cake, brownies, cookies, and lemonade. We will be selling our products in the lunchroom during the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade lunch hour.

Our prices for our products are as follows:

Slices of cake: $.75

Cookies: $.50

Brownies: $.25

Lemonade: $.50

For advertisement for our business we will have a business cards, flyers, panther post advertisement, and our business will have a wiki for any questions or ideas.

Our competition for our business will be any business that sells baked good. For example: Pick N’ Save, Sam’s Club, Sentry, Wal-Greens, and Dollar Tree. These businesses across the country sell baked goods on a daily basis. We promise that our business will not be like these businesses that charge $3 for a box of cookies or $12 for a small cake.

We will be making our products at home and will be bringing our products to school. The equipment we’ll be using are common house hold tools like bowels, spoons, an oven, dish pan, plates, cups, forks, and napkins. To make the brownies for our business, we’ll use this procedure:

Step1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step2: Grease an 8-by-8-by-2-inch baking pan. Set aside.

Step3: Melt butter and chocolate together in a medium-sized saucepan over low heat. Or place them in a microwave-safe container and heat - 2 minutes at a time at 50 percent power - until melted (check after every 2 minutes). Remove from heat.

Step4: Stir in eggs, sugar and vanilla with a wooden spoon. Beat lightly until just combined.

Step5: Stir in flour and nuts.

Step6: Spread batter in baking pan. Bake 30 minutes.

Step7: Cool brownies on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

The roles of each worker are all equal. We each handle the finances of the business. We each are workers making our products. We are each the creative and designs men. And we all are managers of our business.

The ways we will pay for our products is with our profits. At the start of our business we will borrow some money from the bank (Mr. Skonecki). With our profits will buy materials like sugar, brownie mix, cake mix, frosting, cups, and other things of that sort. We’ll pay back the bank (Mr. Skonecki) right away so we don’t forget about it.
